The Aurora Borealis is the ultimate light show and an experience you will never forget. Yellowknife, NWT Canada is situated directly under the aurora oval and is considered to be the best place in the world to view the northern lights. During your 5 night stay in Yellowknife, you will spend 3 nights of viewing at Aurora Village. You will also have a chance to feel the wind on your face as you mush your own dog team and enjoy the thrill of ice fishing with a hot lunch, beverages and snacks.
Aurora Borealis is best seen August 15 - September 30 and November 20 - April 15.

Basic Aurora Viewing Package

Aurora viewing is an awe-inspiring event on the frozen Aurora Lake in front of the teepees. The aurora can be seen 360 degrees without having to shift your position when standing in the centre of the lake. You may watch the aurora by lying down on the snow with your arms and legs sprawled out or you may sit in a comfortable folding chair to watch this phenomenon. During our fall season, when there is no wind, the aurora is spectacular as it reflects off the lake.
